A black and white photograph of Captain Sir Archer Croft Bt. of Lugwardine Court and serving in the Herefordshire Regiment . He was one of the first recruits in the county and country and offered to raise a company of 150 men to bring the battalion up to strength. He was born in 1868 and reported missing in the Dardanelles August 1915.(Source Hereford Times 28th August 1915). |
