Description | Black and white photograph of two bandsmen photographed out of doors. Drummer A.S Field (L) was aged 17 and Drummer A. Field(R) 15 of Drybridge Villa, St Martins, Hereford. They are wearing dress uniforms and service caps with the badge of the South Wales Borderers. Both carry sticks and one has a Good Conduct stripe on the left sleeve. This photograph appeared in Hereford Times of 31st October 1914 when the A.S. Field was wounded at the front. |
