This was the second leg of a FA Cup round, pitching minnows Hereford Utd against first division Newcastle Utd. The first leg was a draw. Record crowds turned up at Hereford Utd's Edgar Street ground for the second leg. It was an epic encounter with Radford's goal still rated over forty years later as one of the all-time greats. Hereford Utd won and the city celebrated with them. |
