Colour photograph of the elevated view out of the window of 44 Kilvert Road, towards the Oval shops. Taken October 1968 "I was offered as part of my job (Nursery Foreman) on the City Council Parks Department with the proviso you found private/purchased accommodation within a reasonable time. We were in the flat from December 1966 to December 1968. There was only a open grate for a coal fire, but it had a back boiler that heated a single radiator in the bedroom & heated your hot water. Otherwise plenty of room for two plus spare bedroom, our daughter was born while in the flat in May 1968" |
