Description A black and white photograph of a Verger and lady outside a doorway. The verger is wearing a black gown faced with black velvet and holding his silver mace .He is not the Dean's Verger and he might be the verger of the Vicars Choral (Source: Andrew Piper, Precentor). The lady wears a velvet jacket and is holding a folded shawl. The photograph was taken from the College Gardens and there is a carved wooden plaque dated 1670 over the doorway which now (2018) hangs in College Hall.
