He is wearing a tunic with a stand up collar with a metallic shoulder title spelling 'CANADA' and collar badges bearing the Maple Leaf. On the left sleeve is a single Good Conduct chevron and on the right forearm he wears four 'Chevrons for Overseas Service' indicating four years of service. These commenced to be worn around June/July 1918. |
