Title Company Quartermaster Sergeant of the Shropshire Yeomanry
Description A black and white photograph of a Senior NCO. He wears an undress frock with chain mail epaulettes and a medal ribbon. The three chevrons surmounted by a crown on his sleeve suggest a Company Quartermaster Sergeant and the loggerhead badge on the stripes is the Shropshire Yeomanry insignia. He is seated in a wicker char outside a bell tent with a camp of more tents behind and holding a bottle of whisky marked “Perfection“ and there are further bottles both opened and empty on the ground to his left, some in a wooden crate. To his left is an enamel basin on a tripod.
