The soldier on the left holding a rifle under his arm is Colin Sherwood, a sergeant in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME). Colin was a former resident of Ross and after leaving Over Ross School, became a vehicle mechanic before joining the Army in 1960. His father, Mr. E. Sherwood, lived in Walford Road. |
