| Description |
Black and white photograph showing a cylinder road roller moving towards the camera, along a road under construction. There is a raised roadway on the right with a car (Morris Minor) following a lorry travelling in the opposite direction to the road roller. The embankment along which the vehicles are travelling is the A40 Ross-Gloucester road at Hildersley. This road leads to a bridge carrying traffic over a dismantled railway line. The road roller is moving along a new lowered road being constructed in preparation for the removal of the bridge. The railway line ran between Ross and Monmouth. |
