TEN YEARS ' GUARANTEE .
One point to be remembered is that all purchasers of glasses receive a ten years ' guarantee . This guarantee carries with it the right to have the free of charge either during one of Might re - examined Mr. Buck subse
quent visits or at any time at his head establishment in London , and any necessary , alterations to the glasses
will then be made entirely without charges ,
This guarantee holds good for a period of ten years , and ensuring as it does the constant care and welfare of
that most precious gift , the eyesight , must appeal strongly
to every class of the community .
THE EYESIGHT OF LEOMINSTER .
It is difficult to over - estimate the boon this remarkable man's visit will confer upon the town . It is a recog nised fact that over 50 per cent . of the population of our large industrial centres suffer from defective vision in one way or another - and , the percentage in Leominster is
higher than in many large The close work in the This is , perhaps , inevitable . factory , work - shop and office - the straining of the eyes over the desk or work - table , frequently in bad light result sooner or later in an urgent need for glasses . DO NOT DELAY .
Mr. Buck can only stay in Leominster for five days . Make a point of visiting him early . To miss the op- portunity now may mean a lifelong regret , and , perhaps , serious eye trouble .
Even if the eyes seem all right , go , and consult him . Hundreds of people make a point of doing this , as they know there is no fear of being advised to wear glasses when these are unnecessary , that , if all is well they come away satisfied their eyesight is sound in every respect . And it costs them nothing .
HOURS OF ATTENDANCE :
10 to 1 : 2.30 to 7 .
Don't put down this paper until you have fixed in your mind a time to go and see Mr. Buck . Let him tell you exactly how things are with your eyes . It may cost you nothing ; in any case the cost will be much less than is ordinarily charged .

He who dismissed a charge brought against him ence with the by the Ministry of Food in respect to a charge try and for bottled beer . The Ministry appealed against this decision and the case was heard on Wednesday last . Mr. Bradford was afterwards hore largely in informed by his solicitors , Messrs . Corner and the past . A Wadsworth , that the appeal was dismissed with buyer down costs . No report of the proceedings has ap- chargers and peared showing the grounds upon which the ve . These he case was argued , but it is interesting to know that the decision of the Leominster magistrates has been confirmed by a higher court .

( Continued from Page 4 ) . There has recently been a remarkable of tragedies in Hereford . The latest occurred on Friday last when George Devlin , 43 , single , of 31 , Canal Road , was discovered hanging in his bedroom . Deceased , who had lived with his aged mother and a sister , had not worked for some time . His health was in a serious state owing to consumption and rheumatism , and he was unable to walk owing to sciatica . From a letter left by the deceased it appeared that he suffered from the delusion that he was going to be turned out of the house . He said his " bad turns were coming on again and he was afraid of doing harm to some one so had decided to finish . Dr. Dickinson , who gave medical evidence at the inquest , said de- ceased's case was utterly hopeless . A verdict
of suicide whilst of unsound mind was re- turned and sympathy was expressed with the family .

It seems that with the increase of fares the
special concessions which used to be granted to hop - pickers have been withdrawn . The Minis

WEOBLEY SPORTS AND FETE .
MANY ATTRACTIONS . Pleasant success marked the sport and fete held in Garnstone Castle Meadow , Weobley , ( by kind permission of Mr. W. 1loyd ) on Thursday when a host of attractions drew to gether a large gathering of spectators and competitors , not only from Weobles and the surrounding district but also from Hereford and adjoining towns . The programme of events and incidental features were such as to appeal to the diversity of interests , includ- ing as they did flat racing , cycle andicaps and gymkana events , a women's section and Baby show under the auspices of the Women's ments , and other items . Together about 670 were offered in prizes , so far as the competitive side of the meeting was concerned ; and another noteworthy fact connected with the financial standpoint is the intention to devote the pro- ceeds to the funds for the Paris Church windows .
