| Description |
Black and white photograph of Lance Corporal Edgar Keeley of Ledbury, serving with the 1/5 Gloucestershire Regiment in France, with horse. The medal index card shows that Edgar Keeley served in France from 29 March 1915, was a Lance Corporal in the Gloucestershire Regiment, and was entitled to 3 medals: the Victory Medal, the British War Medal and the 1915 Star (Pip, Squeak & Wilfred as they were often called). Unfortunately, his service record doesn't seem to have survived the WWII bomb which destroyed about 2/3rds of the service records. |
