Psalm 143 , verse . 8 : " O let me hear of Thy loving kindness in the morning , for in Thee is my trust ; show Thou me the way that I should walk in for lift up my soul unto Thee . " After pointing out that these words were written by King David in a time of great distress , and that the psalm was a genuine outpouring of one with a trust absolute and unconditional in the good- ness and power of God , Archdeacon Simpson said : We may wonder if there are to - day those who meet their troubles in this same spirit of absolute reliance in God . And as an answer to this question I take you with me almost into the Holy of Holies and with a profound reverence I can say " Yes , there are still those whose love and trust is as genuine and pure and whole hearted as was the love and trust of King David . " Early on the morn- ing of his operation Sir Powlett Milbank prayed this prayer psalm and opposite the words of my text he pencilled January 26th , 1918. " " O let me hear Thy loving kindness betimes in the morning , for in Thee is my trust . " Could there linger in our memories any thought more comforting , more soul stirr- ing , more inspiring than this expression of the thought of self surrender to , and reliance on , God , with the underlying thought " What God does is well . A. Moore ) held au inquest on Wednesday , at the Police Station , Leintwardine , on the body of Selina Annie Hodnett , late of Hightree , Leintwardine . The first witness was William Oliver , of Hightree , who identified the body as that of his daughter who was the widow of William Hodnett , agricultural labourer , and she was aged 34 years . She lived with him and he last saw her alive at 5.30 p.m. on February 4th . Later he missed her and tried all ways to find her but it got dark . Lately she had not been well and not " quite right in her head , " but not bad enough to be sent off . " She had never in any way threatened to take her life .
