Dr. Gore enters a pro- test against the nomination of Dr. Hensley Henson , Dean of Durham , to the Bishopric of Hereford , and states that it is not because of anything he has said about the ministry of the Church or any other matter of Church policy or polity with regard to which they had publicly differed in the past , but because his expressed beliefs touching the fundamental matters of faith seem to him incompatible with the sincere profession of the Creeds , Bishop of Oxford proceeds to deal in detail with writings of Dr. Henson in regard to the Virgin Birth , " nature - miracles , " the Resur- rection of Christ .
