SPECIAL EASTER EFFORT . Considering the unusual value of eggs this year the response to the special Easter appeal was very satisfactory and many thanks are due both to the collectors and contributors . Dur- ing the week 652 eggs were received and 48 were bought , making a total of 700 .

advance of their wages to 25s . a week was de- clined . The present wages are £ 1 per week A letter was read from the Eardisley Parish Council calling attention to the bad condition of the fence and bank of the brook at Hobby Lyons , and the Surveyor was directed to attend

A letter from the National Service ( Agricul- tural Section ) was read , asking the Council to suggest the names of four representatives of employers and four of employees from whom they might select representatives to act on the Local Appeal Committee to hear appeals under the National Service .
