LEOMINSTER NOTES .
The following alterations in local postal ar- rangemens are announced . The mail train due at Leominster 4.41 a.m. will not in future run on Mondays . In consequence the mail will not reach here until the 8.28 a.m. train and the delivery in the town area will - com- mence at 9.45 a.m. The second delivery , now commencing at 12.45 p.m. , will on and from Monday next commence at 1.40 p.m. These alterations are for Mondays only . The recent cessation of the 9.24 p.m. train makes it desir- able for correspondence for South Wales to be posted before 6.45 p.m. It is to the ad- vantage of the public to post as early as possible in the day .

The London Gazette announces that 2nd Lieut . Ewart J. Taylor , Gloucester Regiment , is to be Acting Captain whilst commanding a Company , the promotion being dated January 4th . Captain Ewart Taylor is the second son of Mr. Francis Taylor , the respected Post- master of Leominster .
