At Leominster Primitive Methodist Church , on Sunday evening reference was made in the service to the late Miss F. M. Poston . The church was well filled and the service through- out was charged with deep . feeling and was rich in spiritual influences . The hymns in- cluded " There is no Night in Heaven , " a favourite hymn of the late Miss Poston . After preaching an able sermon the Rev. H. S. Millward spoke as follows : " For a few minutes I would like to gather up the thoughts that fill your minds in contemplating the life of our late sister Miss Fanny Poston . What I have to say is simply the tribute you have And paid her as I have moved amongst you . let me add it has been a tribute without a single reservation . The passing of Miss Poston to her reward is still another reminder of the influence of a Godly parentage . She was well favoured in being born into a home which daily acknowedged God as the centre in the household . The atmosphere was thus one in which the finest virtues could have unhindered growth . Her life was one of Thefe steady progress in the Christian faith . was no occasion for that revolutionary change which years of sinful living necessitate . Speaking figuratively she had never been be- witched with the allurements of the far country and therefore had never need to return to the father's home : The early attachment to the Church ripened into a passionate love for the welfare of Zion , Leominster Primitive Methodism owes her an incalculable debt of gratitude . For it is the life and service of such souls which form the imperishable fab- ric of the living Church . I know of nothing which adds so much to the strength and suc- cess of a Society as the consistent Christian character of the average member . And con- sistency is a word which may be applied in its fullest sense to our friend . Those who knew her best speak in the warmest terms of her manifest sincerity . In the home , in business , in the Church , there was the same love of integrity and uprightness . A retiring disposition forbade a type of service which THE PUBLIC KNOW ! PREECE & CO . Weiss , a Moravian Missionary , from the West Indies , whose previous per- formance on a similar occasion is remembered and appreciated . Mr. Weiss is undoubtedly an organist of more than ordinary merit . numbers on Sunday evening were rendered with musicianly skill , and he interpreted the devotional character of several classical selec- tions most effectively . The minister expressed his regret that the organ was not in better condition , a severe handicap thus being im- posed upon the performer . The programme was augmented by vocal items by Miss Dorothy Evans , Mrs. Paynter and Mr. W. J. Thomas , all of whom acquitted themselves very creditably . The whole programme con- stituted a musical treat and was thoroughly appreciated by those who were fortunate enough to The items follows : -Hymn , " O God , Our Help in Ages Past " ; organ , << Lift Up Your Heads " ( Handel ) , Rev , J.
