A black and white image of a man, Frederick Bailey seated on a horse outside the Bishops Palace. The gentleman was living near Monmouth at this time and was a bell ringer at Hereford Cathedral. He would ride his horse from Monmouth to Hereford to ring the bells. He died in 1918 or 1919 in the Spanish flu pandemic. |
