Black and white photograph showing about a hundred young boys in several tiers. There are some male adults interspersed among the boys and two girls, one at each end. Some of the boys look as young as four or five years old. This photograph appeared in the Ross Gazette published on July 16, 1931 with the heading "A BIG FAMILY". The caption underneath reads " Boys from the parish of St. James-the-Less, Liverpool who are encamped at Overross." An article relating to the photograph is on a different page (page 5) under the column for Local News, "LIVERPOOL BOYS' CAMP" There is also another article in the previous weeks' issue (July 9, 1931, page 5) under the column for Local News, "LIVERPOOL BOYS IN CAMP" |
