Description |
Black and white photograph showing a man placing a cardboard box over a boy's head. The accompanying article is headed " SCOUTS AND GUIDES ARE A KNOCKOUT!" Ross Round Table held an event based on a popular television show called "It's A Knockout". In the programme several teams would compete against each other in a series of outdoor games that invariably involved dressing up in character costumes and being dowsed in water. In this contest the teams taking part were from the Scouts and Guides, the Grammar School and the Catholic Youth Club. The two men on the left are named as Mr. Mel Middlecote (timekeeper), and Mr Ramon Bilby, (man assisting with the box). |
