Black and white photograph showing a man standing with his arm around a woman who is sitting down. They are looking at each other. The man is holding a box shaped object with appears to be wrapped in a knitted material. The accompanying article is headed "HOSPITAL INCIDENT LEADS TO DIAMOND WEDDING". The couple are George and Eleanor Mills on the occasion of their diamond wedding anniversary. They met when George chased a cow and calf into Ross Cottage Hospital where Eleanor (Davies) was working as a ward maid. In the First World War, George served with the King's Shropshire Regiment and fought at the Battle of the Somme. The object he is holding is a tobacco tin wrapped in a knitted sock.
