Description |
Black and white photograph showing workmen clearing rubble from a demolished building. In the centre is a man operating a caterpillar tractor. Not far away are market stalls doing business. The only safety barrier between the work site and the public appears to be a flimsy piece of rope. The building being demolished was formerly a ladies fashion and fabric shop called "Raynors" which had closed down in July 1971. The site was redeveloped into "Boots the Chemist". RELATED ITEMS IN THE ROSS GAZETTE ARCHIVE PROJECT Ross Gazette Archive Project Photographs Market House, Ross-on-Wye, 1960s Postcard showing, on the right of the Market House, "Raynors" occupying four shop fronts. |
