Black and white photograph of children playing "spin the wheel" game whilst others watch. The accompanying article (placed further down the page) is headed "Tarzan and Jane muscle in among the prizes". The man on the extreme left running a sideshow is Mr Bob Weston. He is participating in an event organised by the Friends of the Chestnuts in the grounds of The Chase Hotel. Proceeds from the event were for The Chestnuts Care Home. The reference to Tarzan and Jane in the heading relates to the winner's costumes in the fancy dress competition. The Chestnuts Care Home was located in The Avenue. It closed in 2011. |
