A woman on the right is holding a gravy boat and a bouquet of flowers There is no article heading. Only one person is specifically identified, that being the man standing in the middle, Mr. Basil C. Wolseley the Flavour Applications Manager with Beecham Products at Coleford. He is being presented with a bone china dinner service in recognition of 25 years service with the company. Two other names are mentioned in the article; a Mr. J. W. Sawtell, director of products, who is most likely to be the man on the left and Mr. Wolseley's wife, Ruth, being the women on the right. Mr. and Mrs. Wolseley lived at Aston Crews. After a series of mergers, Beecham Products is known today as GlaxoSmithKline. Their plant in Coleford started producing the bottled soft-drink "Ribena" in 1947. Ten years later in 1957, they added "Lucozade" to their production line. |
