How you started the selection process and yes, well they had an entry form and they signed it and the parents had to agree, of course, and sign it to say yes they agree for their child to and, and they had to be um there for carnival day. That didn't matter if the Lebrian Bloom, they couldn't be at Lebrian Bloom, that didn't matter. Um, but as long as they were there for Carnival Day because that's who she was, she would be carnival princess and she had um and um. Uh, oops daisy, but there was some other florist before that when before Os Daisy used to donate the crown for both the, both the, uh, attendants and the carnival princess, and they had a posy of flowers as well. And also they had a sash which would that they would keep all that because we, we didn't, we, we had them made out of silk flowers so they could be kept with something nice for them to keep. Ah, the carnival princess, when she, when she won, she had a beautiful cup. And she had 50 pounds towards her, her dress, and the two other tenants had 25 pounds each. That was donated by someone in the town, you know, sponsor. Yes, that went on for all the time, yes. There was keen competition to become the carnival queen. Oh yes, there was. And the, the one that I, I, I, I shouldn't have favourites, but there was one that always sticks in my mind was the 2nd year. And she came up to me, lovely looking girl, and she said, I want to be in it, I want to be in it. And I said, well, but I haven't signed a form and my mum's at work. I said, well I can't, I just did. So she comes back and she said, well, my aunt's a cleaner in the school, and she says she'll sign. All right, I'll go and see aunt, so I had to go and see this aunt and.
