And money was tight and toxicol had moved into the other end of the deanery stroke master's house. And so I used to do testing of products for them. How interesting because I do remember being in plays where I'd got patch testing all the way down my back or I'd had to drink so much cough medicine or um medicine of different types before I. I actually went out on stage and coughing and spluttering and whatnot as I went out on stage, yes. Um, also, they used to have huge tanks when they were testing things like shampoo or a new type of washing up liquid. We used to have to sit either side of huge tanks with our arms immersed for about an hour and then drag them out and they then worked out how prunish it had made the skin. Etc. Yes, I did quite a lot of that actually while it was operating. But we also, also it helped out money wise because you were testing things like nappy products and um nappy creams and nappy liners and all sorts of things and you got quite a quantity which then if you were careful lasted quite a long time. You weren't having to buy nappies, which is quite useful. |
