A sample if the Old Straight Track Club portfolios held in the Herefordshire Libraries Collection at Herefordshire Archive and Records Centre (HARC). This example is Straight Track Club Portfolio 18. Second Round. Started July 1934.

In 1926 Alfred Watkins helped form The Old Straight Track Club, which continued until the mid-1940s. These portfolios were circulated by post amongst the club's members and contain essays, theories, photographs, reports, illustrations, maps and more. The ideas behind Watkin's The Ley Hunters Manual, Early British Trackways, Archaic Tracks around Cambridge and The Old Straight Track are explored within and given context as they are discussed by Watkins and his contemporaries.
