At the start of the tree line is the railway line and leading out of town is Aylestone Hill, the route to Worcester. The columned building on the middle far right of the picture is the Shirehall with St Peters Square and church in front. The large building above the Shirehall is Berrows House, which was where the local newspapers were printed. The large building above that is the County Hospital, with the bus station slightly to the left.
