    Description: Black and white photograph of Fisherman with a large pike, 19th January 1978 THIS magnificent pike landed by Mr. Henry Hall  of 10, Hillview Road, Ross, weighed in at 26¾lb. and is the heaviest reported from the Ross area in what is proving to be an exceptional season. Mr, Hall caught the pike on the Wye at Hoarwithy on Sunday and was the largest of of six fish he caught that day. It was caught pn a bleak livebait and was 40ins. long.

Messrs. Kemps gave the timber and the boys made the seat under the direction of their master, Mr. A.T.Lewis. Trying out the seat are members of the League of Friends, Mrs. S. Smith (life president), Mrs. J.Ollis (chairman), Mrs. E.Forder and Mrs. N.Bennett (secretary). The boys, Roger Holmes, David Knapman, Graham Smith and Paul Trotman, are pictured with the senior nursing officer, Mr. P.Maclaren and Mr. Lewis.
