Black and white photographic portrait of Miss Christine Anna Philips with a longbow and an interesting array of accessories. Miss Philips was hoping, after 75 years practice, to compete in the Grand National Archery Competition. She had made an archery range in her garden at Ivy Lodge, Venns Lane, Hereford, so that she could practise at home. She had already won over 100 awards.
