    Description: Black and white photograph of a print of Sir Samuel Romilly in his legal attire. Born in London the son of French emigres, he trained as a lawyer and became a prominent Whig politician and was knighted for his work. He married Anne Garbett of Knill Court in 1798 and died a month after her in 1818. They are buried at St Michael's, Knill, Herefordshire.

    Description: Black and white photograph of Nicholas Monk (Monck). He was made Bishop of Hereford but never visited the diocese. He was buried in St Edmund's Chapel, Westminster Abbey with a silver mitre and crozier on the coffin, an old tradition revived.

    Description: Black and white photograph of a print of John Kyrle, named the Man of Ross. It is taken from a photograph owned late by his kinswoman, Mrs Mary Flack. He was born in Dymock in 1637 and spent his later life in Ross dedicating it to improving his estate, the town of Ross and its poor. John never married. He died on 7th November, 1724 and was buried in the chancel of St Mary's Church, there is also a wall memorial to him.

    Description: Black and white photograph of a print drawn from a sculpture by G Vertue. Thomas had experience in with musical festivals and arranged for the Cathedral Choirs of Hereford, Gloucester and Worcester to do something annually on a rotation basis starting around 1716. This was the genesis to the Three Choirs Festival, the oldest in Britain. There is a wall memorial to Thomas in Weston-under-Penyard church.

    Description: Black and white photograph of Edmund Bonner, Bishop of London, 1540. Edmund was elected to be the Bishop of Hereford in 1538, but before he was consecrated, he was elected to the other post. Under Queen Elizabeth I, he was arrested and died in the Marshalsea in 1569.
