year ,1 normally use land
at Wyevale to train and
learn their routines but the
ground there has been left
unusable due to heavy rain.
The team, founded in 1988
by ex-police dog handler
Stuart Brace, has its first
show in less than six weeks
and fears time is running
out to find an alternative.
Mr Brace said: “The aim
really is to keep the team
being able to train. I also do
puppy classes but the most
important thing is that we
can find somewhere so we
can train the display team.
Our first show is booked as
early as March.

“But that would be the ide-
al thing.
‘All of us have come to a
full stop for somewhere to
go.
“We are getting in towards
the middle of January and
in around five weeks we
have got our first event
which is a country fair
down in Oxfordshire.
“It could be short-term but
the long-term weather fore-
casts looks dreadful.
“There’s rain most days
which just tops up what we
have got now.
“There's only been this
problem when we have had
flooding which stopped us
getting to the area but we
have never had to stop using
an area [to train]."
