PARISH COUNCIL - The precept
has been set for 2016/ 17 at
£35,682.70. While the precept for
2015/ 16 was £28,500 the projected
expenditure of the parish council
for 2015/16 is £204,796.52. This
includes the extension and mod-
ernisation of the pavilion at the
recreation ground, the feasibility
and planning project for The
Kemble Centre (former Catholic
Church), the Lengthsman Scheme
(minor highway maintenance),

food help to
boost funds
OVER £1,750 was raised for St Mary's
church, Llanfair Waterdine, at a charity
night on the Everest Hall.
During the evening local women made
and served a hot supper. followed by an
auction with David Morgan as the auc—
tioneer.
There were scores of lots given by local
businesses and individuals.
David Morgan thanked everyone for
their donations, the ladies for the sup-
per. all the helpers and everyone for
coming along on the evening.

Neighbourhood Development
Plan, all of which are of benefit to
the local community, but have
been funded by grants, not the
precept. If you would like more

OWL GOOD NEIGHBOUR
SCHEME - Covering surrounding
parishes and commencing in the
spring, Owl Good Neighbour
scheme is aimed at offering a ser-
vice in the community to those
who may be in need of support.
Without replacing social services
or taking employment from local
tradesmen the scheme intends to
offer a helping hand to all ages.
Volunteers are sought to help out
a few hours a week. Expenses will
be paid.
A free training day is being held
on January 19 in Orcop Parish
Hall, lunch will be provided.

stage.
