Mother opens new clubs
for dieting and exercise
A MOTHER who suf-
fered from depression
after years of yo-yo di-
eting is aiming to show
Herefordshire women
how to lose weight
without counting calo-
ries.
Julie Rowson-Knowles
is launching Kick Start
Fat Loss diet and exer-
cise clubs in Hereford,
Leominster and Lud-
low.
The mother 'of two de-
cided to bring the idea
to others after the diet
helped her to combat
depression.
She said: “I have been
a yo-yo dieter all my
life and also suffered
depression after my
second child.
“After not being able
to take medication I
sought help through
daily exercise and
healthy eating, the re-
sults are clear to see.
“I am passionate about
this as I really feel it
saved me and I want
to help people who are
There are over 90 fran-
chisees running Kick
Start Fat Loss clubs
throughout the UK and
she says the plan has al-
ready helped hundreds
of people to lose weight
and establish a brand
new relationship with
food.
Members can expect
to receive continuous
support through week-
ly classes as well as the
Kick Start Fat Loss on-
line community.
Its founder Rachel
Holmes said: “Kick
Start Fat Loss is more
than just a diet and fit-
ness club.
“We offer factual and
real nutritional infor-
mation which gives our
members a strong and
clear understanding
about food and fitness.”
A launch event for
the clubs took place at
Hereford Town Hall on
Monday.
THIS is a world where so
many disparate people
want to engage with us in
so many diverse ways at
various times of the day
and night.
Equally if we are trying
to grow our own business,
we have to try to communi-
cate in a meaningful way
with potential and actual
customers. So what is the
difference between them
and us?
At one extreme our in-
boxes will contain offers
and information about
subjects that we have no
interest in. Any attempt to
unsubscribe from some of
these emails will have no
effect.
We will be stopped in the
street and invited to sign
up to a cause or maybe to
a charity. Our doorbell will
sound and the telephone
will ring as all sorts of
