A NEW Year’s Eve party in a
county village ended in a mass
brawl with two men being taken
to hospital with serious injuries.
One man in his 205 and another
in his late teens were badly in-
jured as violence erupted during
the early hours of New Year‘s Day
in Credenhill.
The fight started shortly after
the men had left a party in the vil-
lage social club.
The group was walking back
towards the centre of the village
through Station Road when the
violence began close to the junc-
tion with Trenchard Avenue.
A West Midlands Ambulance
Service spokesman said crews
were called at around 2.25am to
reports of a fight in progress.
The man in his 205 sustained se~
rious chest and shoulder wounds.
while the man in his late teens
sustained a serious wrist injury.
The Hereford Times under-
stands the injuries were caused
by broken glass.
One local resident returning
from a New Year’s party with his
grandson said he was confronted
with the sight of half a dozen
emergency vehicles blocking the
Street.
