of the 40mph speed limit.
He collected signatures in

A HEREFORD cocktail and
pizza bar is here to stay af-
ter the first seven months of
trading exceeded the own-
ers’ expectations.
Brothers James and Rich
Manning set up The Shack
Revolution at the former
Dinosaw Market in Bastion
Mews last May.
They originally opened as
a seven-month pop-up but
decided to apply for a per-
manent licence, which they
have been granted.
Rich said: “It is really ex-
citing times. The whole
Shack in Hereford was al-
ways meant to be a trial.
“We tried it and it has been
above and beyond our eX»
pectations so we just kept
rolling with it and bring-
ing things in and making it
more established.
“Before we knew where
we were we had got a vi-
able business in itself so we
thought, ‘Let’s keep going’.”
Their landlord also agreed
to a long-term lease.

ers originally set up The
Shack Revolution as a mo-
bile cocktail bar in 2011,
which they still run behind
the scenes.
Rich said they hope to ex-
pand their drinks range in
Hereford and offer more
craft beers and ciders.
He added: “If all plans go
ahead we will have an out-
side area, which would dou-
ble our capacity.”
And he said the future is
bright as they plan to open
a second bar in a neighbour-
ing county.
He said: “That is our next
project. I never thought we
would be saying that.”
