SUNDAY LUNCH - The first
Almeley village Sunday lunch for
2016 will be on January 24, in
Almeley village hall at 12.30 for

CHURCH - Sunday is Plough
Sunday and the service will be at
Aymestrey at 9.30am. On January
17 Evensong will be at Leinthall
Earls at 3.30pm.
QUIZ NIGHT - The first quiz night
of 2016 takes place in the Parish
Hall tomorrow evening at 8pm.
Cash prize for the winning team.
£5 per team of up to four mem-
bers. Refreshments will be availa-
ble but you are welcome to bring
your own.
FILM CLUB - The film to be
shown on Sunday is Kingsman
(15) starring Taron Egerton, Mark
Strong and Colin Firth. Start time
7pm, £5 admission. Home-made
ice cream and popcorn available.
DISCO NIGHT ~ A 603 and 705
disco night will be held in the
Parish Hall on January 15. Start
time 7.30pm.
AGM - The Parish Hall AGM is on
January 19 at 7pm. New members

BURNS NIGHT - Plans are under
way for a Burns Night supper to
be held in the Parish Hall on
January 23. Tickets are £15 each
and will include a five-course
meal to include a wee dram.

prepared to “pipe in the haggis”
at this event would be very wel-

local friends gathered dressed
up as ghosts or ghouls at The
Watering Hole Cafe, Aymestrey,
Herefordshire to set off on a
tractor road run.
Leaving the cafe in Aymestrey,
they travelled through Yatton,
Leinthall Earls, Leinthall
Starkes and stopped at The Sun
Inn at Leintwardine for drinks

enthusiasts met two Leominster
Community First Responders.

Griffiths, who received £1096.31.
This included a £200 donation
from Mark Harrington of
Cadbury’s Leominster/
Mondelez and £235 from last
year’s ramble.
All the money raised is donat»
ed to Leominster Community
First Responders 7 a voluntary
group based in Leominster
which is trained by WMAS.

on life—saving equipment.
