Organised litter-picking will be taking place across the county from March with residents and schools urged to join the biggest clear up the country has seen for 60 years. This will be followed by the monarch’s birthday celebrations in June with street parties, lunches and evening events across the county being planned. Community groups can also raise money for their chosen charity but there is no requirement to do so. The Queen will actually turn 90 on April 21, but the official celebrations will be held over the weekend of June 10 to 12. Drunk smashed police car A DRUNK man shouted “boom” as he threw a chil- dren’s bike through the rear windscreen of a police car. Stuart Andrew Mclean, 29, of Little Hereford Street, Bromyard, admit- ted causing £2,000 worth of criminal damage to the back bumper and wind- screen of the car when he appeared before Magis- trates last week.
