M , [in heretordtimescom Thursday, January 14 2016 THE HEREFORD TIMES 9 Spectacle of starlings in murmuration in sky over city suburb THE sight of starlings has once again become a familiar sight over the Her- eford skies. But that does not make the incredible murmurations they create any less of a spectacle. Danielson Wilde took this photo graph of the birds over Redhill one early evening last week. The birds gather over their roosting site, and perform their stunts before resting for the night. Early evening, just before dusk, is the best time to see one of the aerial per- formances which were, previously, a of Moorfields. regular occurrence above the homes Starlings over Redhill. The back office running of Kington Medical Prac- tice was taken over by In- tegral Medical Holdings last year and their chief executive Richard Power said last week that his _ company stepped in at the right time. He said: “They were on their way to getting a stern warning from the Care Quality Commission [CQC]. From our perspec- tive the procedures were not as good as we would have liked. “After being proactive we are now likely to pass the CQC report.” The national medical company now run the HR, finance, recruitment, support and look at im- plementing the best prac- tices at the building which opened in September 2012 costing £35 million. Dr David Jones, chief medical officer for Inte- gral Medical Holdings also addressed the King- ton Town Council meeting last week. He added: “Overall, the standard of care is high and the doctors working there are excellent but what they have struggled with is the organisation behind the scenes. The building is at risk of being a white elephant, it should be doing all of the things it was designed to do that have ground to a halt.” Mr Power said the new partnership meant that if one or both of Kington’s doctors were on leave then their company could get doctors in from across the country to help the prac- tice to continue as normal. However, he added that they were looking to re- cruit an additional full— time doctor and hoped they had found a new manager for the practice after the previous one left in December. Mr Power added that the community needed to work with the partnership so they could put a business case to the NHS for what ad ditional services the build— ing could provide. He said: “We are trying to make a very good building into a central hub not just for Kington. We are putting our hands out to the community as we need to work together. “It is important the doctors feel part of the community and community feel part of the surgery. “Staff in the practice are of the highest standard and the changes coming will help with systems and process al- lowing them to perform to an extremely high level" Visit us online at Hereford Times.com l Parents help I A PARENTING group prording edwce l and support In Hereford Will be launched later this month The Attachment Parenting G'ouo will meet on the lee: Monde/ of ever/ month after Its first event or refinery 25 - between Ham and Zprr — at Tre Pawlion, Castle Green Duo arrested TWO people were arree ed " 3-33» CIorI oitheft from a Here‘o rd Police were ca Eyed 3f belo re 123' Wednesday afterroor.
