Continuing our tour of the shops of Ross , a few particulars of which appeared in the Xmas Shopping Page last week , we are more than ever convinced that the trades- men of Ross have made every preparation to meet all demande for the usual Christmas things . It will be a great disappointment and a serious financial loss if the people of the town and district fail to support them with their usual generous orders , but there are hopeful signs that with the return of more genial weather will come a briek re- vival of business . One of the most useful and practical ways of preventing distress during the war is to purchase the usual amount of goods from the local stores , so that the workers in our big manufacturing towns may be kept in regular employment . By our personal in- spection we know for a fact that our local Eraders have not only sent their regulai orders to the mills and factories , but in many cases they have largely increased theh orders , thus giving most timely and welcome support to the owners . For this patriotic enterprise they can fairly invite a larger share of support from the people of the dis- trict , who will be aiding in a good and proper motive by doing their Xmas shopping in the town of Ross . That there is an abundance of good things to be had in the town at most reasonable . prices will be seen by a perusal of the par- ticulars of our tour round the shops , which we continue below .
