WESLEYAN SUNDAY SCHOOL . - A very inter- esting afternoon was spent on Sunday last by the teachers and scholars of the Wesleyan Sunday School , when the rewards for at- tendance and behaviour during the past year were given . An excellent selection of books had been made , and the recipients of the rewards all seemed very pleased with their gitte . THE " ROSS GAZETTE " YEAR BOOK , containing The BAPTIST YOUNG PEOPLE'S SOCIETY . monthly social held in connection with the above society took place in the Baptist Schoolroom on Tuesday evening in last week . The programme was arranged entirely by the ladies , and Mrs. H. G. Bussell presided over a large attendance of members and friends . A short musical programme afforded much pleasure , those taking part were Miss D. Chapman , Miss Edith Hicks , Miss Doris Shock , Miss R. Barter , Miss M. Phillips , and Miss G. Foster . The most amusing items were the various competitions for gentlemen , which included one for hat trimming , which was won by Mr. G. Wood ; the spelling " B. " won by Mr. A. Hill ; for darning , won by was awarded Mr. W. Shock . During an in- terval in the evening , refreshments were provided , and this proved to be one of the most successful and enjoyable socials of the season arranged by this society .
