HOPE MANSELL . INDUCTION OF NEW RECTOR . - The induction of the Rev. Henry Evans , to the living of Hope Mansell , rendered vacant by the resignation of the Rev. C. J. H. Evans for his kindness in inviting them all there that day , which was carried with " cheers " for the new Rector , who briefly responded , and spoke of the very great pleasure it gave him to see so many present , and expressed a hope that the good feeling . that existed between them that day would continue and increase . He concluded by inviting all the children in the parish and those who attend the school , to a tea on Thursday , and it is needless to say that the children had a good time of it . Miss A. M. The CHAIRMAN said that the parish of Ross , whom they represented on the Council , was anxious to show its appreciation of the loyalty of the five teachers present during the recent teachers ' strike . They there fore asked their acceptance of a slight ac- knowledgment of their fidelity and of the great help they had given them during the trying time through which they had recently passed . The Council felt sure that their friends on the Urban Council would wish to be associated with them in the course they were taking , and the Chairman of the Urban Council ( Mr. Meredith ) had kindly consented to attend and present them with a little souvenir of their loyalty .
