IMPORTANT RIGHT OF WAY CASE His Honour Judge Ellicott commenced hear- ing a case at Newnham on Saturday con- cerning an alleged right of way over what was originally Crown land of the Forest of Dean . In two bedrooms there slept defendant and his wife , two adult girls , 19 and 20 respec- tively , and four boys , 15 , 13 , 11 , and 6 re- spectively . - Mrs . Cinderby put the fault on the scarcity of houses . She had travelled all over Cinderford , and could not get a suitable house anywhere . - The Court made an order to abate the nuisance in 21 days , and allowed for Walkley , whilst Mr. F. E. Wetherby ( in- 3s . 6d . ( costs of the summons ) , this being the structed by Messrs . Bretherton and Sons , third time that defendant had given trouble . Gloucester ) was for Fox . LONGHOPE . BORESTERS ' CLUB REPORT . - In his annual report to members of Court Hope , A.O.F .. Herefordshire district , the Secretary ( Mr. E. S. Constance ) , pointing to the fact that the society was established as long ago as 1858 , and that it secured benefits to mem- hers throughout life , puts it that , with the increasing proportion of older members , it can be no cause for surprise that the claims upon the sick fund should again be heavy . As much as £ 227 9s . 8d . has been paid away to 49 members during 1913. In the 54 years

The newly constructed team did not play The
up to expectations in the first half . second half was in favour of Ross . Some
exciting minutes in the Hereford circle must have made the home goalie feel a bit uneasy . Hard luck , " Tiger ! " Kerwood was again a star artiste at centre half . At back Cooper was weak , but made up for his slackness when removed to his old position . Smith and Morgan were the pick of the forwards . Meredith must be congratulated on his good play , likewise Turner and Bussell . Thomas in goal could not be blamed for the shots that beat him . For Hereford Grasett , Stephens , and Whitfield played a great game . Ross entertain Bradley Court this week at Ross , when the following players will repre- sent them : A. H. Clift , H. The Saints
The Ross St. Mary's visited Whitchurch on Saturday last to fulfil their return fixture with that club . The home team won the toss and decided to take advantage of the strong wind , and play up the slope . immediately forced an attack and took the ball into the home goal . When in a good position to score , one of the visiting team was charged in the back , and a penalty was awarded . Watkins took the kick , and scored with a hard shot . With the visitors lead- ing , Whitchurch put more life into the game , and took the play into the other half . From this period of the game , play was even , each goal area being visited in turn , but with fairly good defences each attack was cleared . In the second half , the Saints soon commenc ed to score again , Yemm and Marshall add- ing a goal each . With this strong lead , the Saints took matters easily , but their defence was tested to its utmost in the closing stages of the game , when the homesters bombarded their goal , but without result , the game end- ing in favour of the Saints by three goals to nil . The clubs were represented as follows : Whitchurch : Pugh , Banchini , Lewis , Hut- ton , Walby , Lewis , Taylor , Banchini , James , Reece , and Hayward . St. Marys : F. Hill , W. Smith , C. Watkins , A. Llewellyn , C. E. Powell , Summers , W. Tingle , C. Lerigo , R. Yemm , W. Marshall , and H. Ruston .

First League football on Saturday was that of Aston Va . who followed up a splendid run of successes by beating Manchester United at Old Trafford by 6 gols to 0. Aston Villa can certainly claim to have shown themselves the
most brilliant sie in the second half of the season . Since the first Saturday in January they have won eleven games off the reel- seven in the League and four in the competi- tion for the Association Cup . Whilst Astou Villa were such acquitting themselves in splendid style at Manchester , Blackburn Rovers found themselves engaged in a desper- ately hard fight with Everton at Goodison Park , and merely divided the points , but Bolton Wanderers , Sunderland , Oldham Athletic , West Bromwich Albion , and Burnley victorious , so , however easily the Rovers may carry off first honours , there should be a most interesting struggle for second place .
