Judging from all accounts , the re- production of the charm of " Sunny Spain " is to be as complete as any exhibition can be . The Spanish section has engaged the active sympathy of the Government of that country , by which it is being financed and organised , and it is said that King Alfonso is himself keenly interested in the matter . The Spanish Royal Commissioner to the exhibition was in London last week to attend to the final arrangements . It is the special wish of the King of Spain that the charms of his country should be better known in England . No doubt there will be a good attendance at the open- ing ceremony on the 28th inst . Visitors to Kew Gardens rarely trouble themselves to observe the severely plain Pchurch . Save for its belfry , cupola , and vane surmounting an eighteenth - century turret it is featureless . But it attains next Sunday to the dignity of a bicentenary celebration . Completed in 1714 as a chapel of ease to Kingston , it derives its fame from its con- tinuous association with Royalty . The ground on which it stands was a gift of Queen Anne . George III . enlarged the church in 1776 , and added a gallery in 1805. Gifts of furniture were made by Queen Charlotte , and it is indebted for books to the fourth George . A mausoleum to the east of the building testifies to the association of the Dukes of Cambridge , the first of whom lived on Kew Green for some years . Health of body and the resulting elasticity of mind are of supreme importance to everyone living under the strenuous conditions of modern times . The person who is " out of sorts , " " off colour , " or " below par " is not in a condition to make the most of life . Now , the necessity of keeping the organs of digestion in a thoroughly clean and active state can never be too strongly emphasised , since they are the channels through which the body receives its nourish ment .
