July , August and September are ideal months for holidays in the North of Ireland . The Antrim Coast roads open to the cool sweet air from the Atlantic Ocean , and shaded by picturesque cliffs , afford delightful cycle and moter rides , or walking tours . Pretty villages with good accommodation for families and holiday parties , lie at intervals along the coast . The district is a sportsman's paradise - good trout and salmon fishing ( much of it free ) and first class golf .
The best and most comfortable route to
all parts of the North of Ireland is by Midland throughout via Heysham . You can make the rail and sea journey a pleasant part of your holiday if you travel by the Midland .
