WEEK OF UNITED PRAYER . A very suc- cessful week of United Prayer , held under the auspices of the Ross Free Church Coun- cil , concluded on Sunday last , when the var- ious ministers of the Nonconformist Churches in the town exchanged pulpits for the day . A united communion service was also held in the Baptist Church , and this was largely at- tended , and it is hoped that the united effort on the part of the Free Churches will result in an extension of their good work in the town .
.
HOUSE DAMAGED BY MOTOR WAGGON . - On Thursday afternoon . as Messrs . Chapman and Sons , of Hoarwithy , motor waggon , was being driven from the mill in Brookend- street , to the Millpond to get water ,
the driver apparently lost control . and as a result the waggon crashed into the house on
the corner of Millpond - street and Brookend- -street , doing considerable damage to the brick work . One window and the front door wife knocked clean out , and we understand certain damage was done to the furniture in- side the house . An unknown wag scribbled in chalk on the side of the damaged house on Tuesday morning , " Motor waggon , shied at a flock of sheep .
