Description | A black and white photograph of the interior of a long low shed roofed in corrugated iron. The centre of the shed is equipped with water taps and a rough wooden bench and ten men are preparing to wash in enamel basins. They are civilians, wearing waistcoats, collarless shirts and mufflers. There is a man supervising them dressed in a non-military uniform consisting of a peaked cap, unbuttoned jacket with epaulettes and a collar insignia, breeches and boots. He appears in several National Filling Factory Rotherwas photographs. |
