Description | Black and white photograph of abseiling at H.P. Bulmer, Hereford. Climbing enthusiasts, David Taylor and Trevor Watts were Bulmer employees and also members of the Bulmer Mountaineering club. In 1963, the cider maker had the biggest cider vat in the world, and it represented an ideal challenge for the two men. Said Mr Taylor: 'We normally go rock climbing every Monday and Thursday at Symonds Yat, but we have been experiencing some bad weather recently, so we decided we would put some practice in here on one of the vats'. |
