GIRL'S TRAGIC DEATH .
JEALOUS LOVER'S CRIME IN CARDIFF STREET .
A dramatic love story ending in the tragic death of a 19 - year - old Cardiff girl , Winifred Ellen Fort , was told before the coroner on Tuesday .
a
It is alleged that on Christmas night young Greek seaman named Benkentis , who had been paying attentions to the girl for some time past , stabbed her to death in the street in a fit of jealousy , after demanding the return of his letters and a ring .
As the girl was going off to fetch the letters , a companion said Benkentis walked behind her and sträck her , as the witness thought , with a stick . The weapon was produced in court , a long knife , not unlike a butcher's knife , with a wooden handle .
Cash must in all cases accompany the order , with what fury she had been attacked .
