The harvest festival was held at the Parish Church on Thursday , the 27th inst . There was a celebration of the Holy Communion at A meeting of the above Council was held 7.30 a.m. and at 7.30 p.m. there was Evensong on Wednesday evening . There were present : when a large congregation joined very heartily Mr. J. H. Wale ( Chairman ) , the Rev. H. L. William in the thanksgiving service . The Rev. Preb Kewley , Messrs . In spite of so many preoccupations just now it was a pleasant surprise to find the church beautifully decorated and to see such liberal contributions of grain , fruit and vegetables . Among those who spent much time and trouble in this direction were Mrs. W. H. Banks , Mrs. Parr , Miss Banks , Miss Pearson and Miss Temple .
The newly elected members , Messrs . J. Pow- ell and A. E. Meredith , made the usual dec- laration both on acceptance of office and thanked the Council for electing them , prom- ising to do all they could to attend the meet- ings .

The Rev. H. L. Kewley said when these two new members were appointed at the last Council meeting he concluded that the old members , Messrs .
