Since the age of 2. I have lived in the Ladbury district. At all the time. I, I was schooled from the town end, 1st 5 years, including a college I worked for my father. And I started farming on my own in 1953 at the Grange at Farm Boswick. Great, that's very nice and succinct. Um, so can we start at the beginning and find out. What you remember as a small child on the farm. Well I remember picking hops by hand. um I remember the horses, or cart horses, cos I worked cart horses quite a bit. Um I remember the thrashing boxes, you know, the old system. Um, really, I came. In Before the agricultural revolution and change started. I came in Before we had any proper balanced fertilisers to put on the soil, I came in before we had any chemicals to protect any crops with. er, so I've really seen in my life a a a revolution in farming as much as anything. |
